Merry Christmas! As of the time of this writing, the weather for Christmas weekend is truly looking frightful. So much so that some businesses and schools, and even some churches, are announcing closures already.
Our Christmas Eve Candlelight service is a beautiful experience and is my favorite service of the year. Hopefully, we can hold it this year. But even if we are forced by the elements to cancel our service, Christmas Day will still come. And, more importantly, the impact of the event that we are commemorating, the manifestation of God on earth, still demands commemoration.
The introduction of the Savior that the world so desperately needed and continues to need, is an event that the Christian remembers daily. So, even if we are forced to cancel our service, even if local and regional travel is precluded by the weather, remember to celebrate anyway.
